Building on the "configured isolation" concept, Verio has implemented Microsoft best-practices for hosting security. This allows us to provide you with things that other hosting providers can't - like server resource controls, simplified sub hosting, increased site performance, multiple AppPools, bandwidth compression, and a clear growth path for your online presence.

Verio's exclusive VRU technology provides control over your account that you can't get anywhere else. VRUs, or Virtual Resource Units, are units of measurement that allow the physical resources of a server (CPU & RAM) to function as multiple logical resources.

On Verio's shared plans, VRUs serve to provide guaranteed minimum server resources for all accounts at all times. For Virtual and Managed Web Servers, Verio takes the VRU concept one step further by allowing account owners to assign VRUs by AppPool - so account owners can assign one site (or group of sites) more guaranteed CPU and RAM than the others in their account.
